Things went ... okay today

Okay Sunday morning.  It was really good to be back teaching.  Band was rockin as usual.  Had some great accoustic piano in our video venue.  Attendance and giving were down.  Nothing alarming though.  It's summer - not an excuse but a reality.  Actually our adult attendance was pretty normal for a summer Sunday.  For some reason our children's attendance was down.  Hmmm...need to think through that one.  We so need someone on staff to focus on children's ministries.  I have someone in mind and hope to talk with them this week.  I believe they can do it and would pump major energy and vision and purpose and direction into our kids ministry.  But, it's not just what I believe - do THEY believe it?

Had some tech issues again.  We are so tech intensive.  And being portable only adds to the issue.  So many things potentially could go wrong.  But we need to get this figured out.  We will need to revisit our training system, pre-service check-lists, run-throughs - everything.  We can't assume or take anything for granted.

Still a "win" today.  At least four new families.  One was an invite from a regular attender.  Giving might have been down, but it was still up in the $/attender category.  Video venue continues strong.

And best of all...it was Meadow.  And even an "okay" day at Meadow is a "great" day at Meadow!
